As of the patent filing. Blitzshield is no longer just a helmet and athletic padding company.  Things have changed dramatically. Here is the helmet however.

- From the tests conducted by Wayne State University the Blitzshield was a 30 % increase in helmet efficiency.

I have invented a device that uses basic physics instead of brute force to drastically reduce the shock wave from impacts.  It’s called the BlitzShield.  It’s very simple because it’s just a plastic shell that sits ¾ to 1 inch above any standard helmet or other padding. Where it is different is that it has a lot of small vents in it and the sides are open to the air.  This open air and vent structure allows the massive shockwave that is generated during impact to reflect off of and dissipate away from the helmet and then safely into the air.  The result is that one barely feels the impact of the hit.

What does this mean to you?

If someone adds the Blitzshield onto their helmet they will see a dramatic increase in that systems ability to protect that person. There is something called the Severity Index or SI that rates how effective a helmet is (in general).  The rating goes from 0 to 1000.  The lower the score the better.  For comparison the makers of the Zenith X1 claim that their helmet has an SI of 340.  That is really great!  The Adams we tested got a 588.  When we add the Blitzshiled to the Adams we get a 352! So:

Zenith                    = 340

Adams                    = 588

Adams + Blitzshield  = 352

Zenith + Blitzshield   = 2??

Just Imagine what will happen when we test the Blitzshield on top of the Zenith!  If you would like the scientific data, I can email it to you just go here. You can also look at the overview on the Lab Results page.
